ESL Classes are free to attend
The OACES ESL Program offers adults with limited English language proficiency a variety of language learning opportunities to improve their skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Beginning to advanced classes are offered day or evening by experienced and qualified teachers. Instruction is tailored to the individual’s needs, including those who are preparing to enter the workforce and/or higher education. Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to: conversation, grammar, computer, vocations, and life skills.
To enroll in the ESL Program:
Visit OACES at 30 Hart Street, Rochester and go to Room 216,
Hours: Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Please bring two forms of ID and your Social Security card, if you have one.
OACESÂ also offers free English classes for adults at the following locations/days/times:

- Monday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Mary’s Place: 414 Lexington Avenue, Rochester, NY 14613
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Maplewood YMCA: 25 Driving Park Avenue, Rochester, NY 14613
