The Office of Adult and Career Education Services (OACES) will be participating in the United Way’s Day of Caring on Thursday, May 9, 2019. OACES has been approved for three project that are currently listed on the Day of Caring site. Volunteers will be able to sign up from February 20 through May 3.

Mock Interview

Serve as a mock interviewer for adult learners currently enrolled at the Office of Adult and Career Education Services (OACES) who will be seeking entry-level positions. Interview questions and an immediate feedback format will be provided.

Adopt-A-Bulletin Board

Assist teachers in the beautification of the Office of Adult and Career Services (OACES) by Adopting a Bulletin Board and decorating it. The boards can be informational, inspirational, educational, or showcases for student work. Decorate a board and come back and refresh it throughout the year.

Refresh the Family Learning Center Exterior

This project is a campus-wide cleanup initiative to beautify the OACES Campus grounds. The task includes planting flowers and bushes, mulching, and sprucing up existing garden areas.

OACES is a Rochester workforce preparation organization serving adults and out-of-school youth.

OACES delivers a comprehensive range of career-related services that focus on the transition to employment, advanced training, and post-secondary education.

Services include Academic Programs (High School Equivalency, English as a Second Language, TASC Testing), Workforce Development Programs (In-Demand Career Training) and Parent & Family Involvement Programs.
