High School Equivalency (Under 21)

The Office of Adult & Career Education Services (OACES) is deeply committed to increasing the graduation rate and lowering the dropout rate, and has developed the OACES Youth Program for students to earn a high school graduation credential and develop meaningful post-secondary plans. Students in this program will take classes in preparation to take the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC). This class is ideal for students who did not graduate from high school or whose diplomas may not be recognized by New York State. Classes are offered at a variety of locations.

To qualify to take this class you must:

  • Be 16 years old as of July 1, 2020 and did not drop out of a RCSD school
  • Be 17 years old as of July 1 with a drop letter from a RCSD school
  • Meet Entrance Requirements
  • Complete the online registration application.
  • Attend a 2 day orientation session
  • Maintain attendance guidelines

High School Equivalency (Over 21)

Students in this program will take classes in preparation to take the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC). This class is ideal for adults who did not graduate from high school or whose diplomas may not be recognized by New York State. Classes are offered at 30 Hart Street, Rochester, New York 14605 .

To qualify to take this class you must:

 

  • Be 21 years old as of September 1, 2020
  • Meet Entrance Requirements
  • Complete the online registration application.
  • Attend a 2 day orientation session
  • Maintain attendance guidelines
