6-225

Career and Technical Education (CTE)
OACES’ CTE programs prepare individuals to meet workforce demands by offering training in various career fields. Students will acquire new skills and have opportunities to earn industry recognized credentials that can result in employment and career advancement. A variety of CTE programs are offered that focus on in-demand careers such as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Building Maintenance, Security Guard Training, and more. See our CTE page for more information.

Community and Adults in Rochester Employment and Education Resource System (C.A.R.E.E.R.S.)
C.A.R.E.E.R.S. is a workforce development initiative that serves adults receiving TANF/Safety Net Public Assistance. Academic classwork coupled with a variety of work experiences are offered leading to entry level employment opportunities. Classes improve English language literacy or support attainment of the New York State High School Equivalency Diploma Program. Each micro-enterprise work experience provides the opportunity to learn entrepreneurial and foundation skills needed for employment in today’s workforce.

The Apprentice Related Supplemental Instruction Program (ARSIP)
OACES registers apprentices and monitors the progress of participants as they complete related instruction for the NYS Department of Labor Apprenticeship program.
