Who is this for?
OACES participants who complete their class or work experience, or make progress in class.
What is it?
Employment Services will help you learn how to get and keep a job. Once you have a job and begin earning money, you and your family’s life better
What do I do?
You will take job readiness workshops, one-on-one career counseling, and job search activities. They are just like your classes and you will attend from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day for two weeks or longer.
How can I be successful?
To be successful you must attend all of your appointments and other classes for a minimum of two weeks. You should practice your skills and research jobs you are interested in. Focus on your work while you are here which means leaving your problems at the door and following the Rochester City School District Code of Conduct.
How do I know I have been successful?
You will know you are successful when you start to apply for jobs and go on job interviews. Next steps are Job Club, Career & Technical Education and getting your paying job.
