We held our Culinary Alumni Awards Ceremony on Thursday, April 28th at OACES.

Culinary Student Success at Oaces
Cecilia is the 61st graduate of the OACES Culinary program to be placed in employment. She will work for Wegmans in the prepared foods section of their Pittsford store. As a Kenyan refugee, Cecilia took advantage of the citizenship classes offered at OACES at night. She passed her citizenship test this week, and will be sworn in soon.

Wilmarie is the 62nd graduate of OACES Culinary Program to be placed in employment –hired as a baker for Salvatore’s Donut Delights.
Zau Wegmans Culinary OACES
Zau entered OACES as a Burmese refugee, and earned the 2014-15 student of the year award. He recently passed his Cook 11 exam, and works at the Monroe Avenue Wegmans.

Chantel celebrated her two year employment anniversary. Chantel entered OACES as a Tanzanian refugee, and has since earned her US Citizenship.
