We held our Culinary Alumni Awards Ceremony on Thursday, April 28th at OACES.

Shirron, an OACES Culinary graduate employed at Palmer Food ServicesCecilia is the 61st graduate of the OACES Culinary program to be placed in employment. She will work for Wegmans in the prepared foods section of their Pittsford store. As a Kenyan refugee, Cecilia took advantage of the citizenship classes offered at OACES at night. She passed her citizenship test this week, and will be sworn in soon.
Wilmarie is the 62nd graduate of OACES Culinary Program to be placed in employment –hired as a baker for Salvatore’s Donut Delights.Zau entered OACES as a Burmese refugee, and earned the 2014-15 student of the year award. He recently passed his Cook 11 exam, and works at the Monroe Avenue Wegmans.
Shamim, an OACES Culinary graduate employed at Palmer Food ServicesRondell, an OACES Culinary graduate employed at Palmer Food Services, celebrating his one year anniversary at Palmer’s.Yelena graduated from OACES after living in the Ukraine. She celebrated her one year employment anniversary with Lackmann Culinary at St. John Fisher.Samaria celebrated her two year employment anniversary, and promotion with Lackmann Culinary at St. John Fisher.Kip Palmer not only serves on our Culinary Careers Advisory Board, but invites our students for field trips at Palmer Food Services!
Chantel celebrated her two year employment anniversary. Chantel entered OACES as a Tanzanian refugee, and has since earned her US Citizenship.Culinary graduate Alicia celebrates one year at Wegmans, working in the prepared food section at the East Avenue store.Kyra is our 7th graduate to be hired by Lackmann Culinary Services at St. John Fisher College. Lackmann Culinary serves on our Culinary Careers Advisory Board.Miceska received a promotion after two months of service with Lackmann Culinary at St. John Fisher.
